Securitas will be using PSI compression solutions from Even Technologies designed to deliver high quality video over simultaneous camera streams from sites around the world. The technology will enable Securitas to deliver integrated applications for commercial developments.
Even Technologies is continuing to develop a range of applications that include the company’s core technology. Pete Koat, chief technology officer, believes that the contract, which includes a US$ 450,000 advance payment, marks a step forward in the evolution of the company’s product portfolio. “The PSI platform has the flexibility to work in a variety of Internet applications. We are particularly excited to be partnering with Securitas for our first surveillance deployment, as our technology is ideally suited for applications requiring very high image quality over standard Internet connections.”
