On time, every time: the Rimax

Palm scanners

Boasting a false negative ratio of less than 0.1%, Palm Scan’s contactless operation means that it can be mounted in an hermetic terminal for a solution that is both weather- and vandal-proof.

Operation is as simple as holding the palm up to the reader, with no user training required. In essence, this is a somewhat more user-friendly alternative to more intrusive biometric technologies like iris scanning or perhaps facial recognition.

Palm Scan reads the lines, scars, wrinkles and folds on the surface of a person’s palm and uses the images to build a biometric map unique to the user. Biometric templates can be captured and encoded onto smart card using a card printer. Palm prints are then checked against a template held on the card for instant verification.
