The announcement was made over the weekend by the AD Group Board, the parent company of DM.
Calnan will report directly to Andy Finn on the AD Group Board, who has stepped down as Managing Director for Dedicated Micros EMEA to concentrate full time on his activities as Group Finance Director for AD Group companies.
Commenting on the appointment, AD Group Chairman Nigel Petrie said he was delighted by the appointment.
“Paul has a proven track record of success in the electronics industry – in addition to the positive steps he has taken during his time with DM – and the Board is confident that Paul will help to lead the business forward as he assumes full responsibility for the management and performance of the EMEA Region, ” Petrie said.
