The RSP is designed to provide a “credible means by which individuals operating at supervisory management level and above can demonstrate their professionalism and competency through assessment against relevant National Occupational Standards, their personal commitment to individual CPD as security professionals and to the provision of quality services within the Security Business Sector”.
In addition to the launch, seven RSP founding members: Bill Wyllie, SyI Chairman, Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington, SyI Patron & SfS Chairman and SyI Fellows David Dickinson, Mike Bluestone, Stefan Hay, Dai Prichard and Stuart Lowden were awarded with their membership certificates.
Di Thomas, SyI General Manager said there was a “significant synergy” between the aims of the Security Institute and Skills for Security.
