The company’s Vision 2000 plug-n-play real time fibre optic transmission system will be used to send data between a number of cameras at the GB pound 41 million, category B prison.
Expected to house 140 inmates, the new site replaces the island’s existing prison – dating back to 1891 – and will be protected by a wide range of security measures. ADT Fire and Security, which is in charge of the entire integrated project, will be installing these. Features include an access control system, perimeter surveillance technology and public address systems.

Signals from a mix of fixed and PTZ cameras at the prison will be routed to a central control and localised monitors, and will be stored on DVRs.
