Samuels was the popular managing director at Honeywell Systems Group, tasked with covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa (and encompassing video and access systems), a position he’d occupied since 2005. Throughout his time at Honeywell, Alan played a key role in defining the overall business strategy and developing initiatives to drive customer focus and growth throughout the EMEA region.
He joined Honeywell after a successful 25-year career in sales, marketing and professional services roles for a variety of companies, including blue chips IBM, BT, Xerox and Compaq.
Alan was also a valued contributor to the pages of CMP Information’s end user-focused journal Security Management Today (SMT), and would always make time to put his intelligent and reasoned views across at special one-to-one meetings held at IFSEC.
Alan will be sadly missed by all of his friends and colleagues.
