The Salto system includes a total of 130 smart chip controlled offline locks in a stainless steel finish, which have been fitted to the hotel’s luxury suites, guestrooms and lifts. Each lock also features a custom-built handle in the shape of a ‘modernist flowing hat’ to complement the interior created by famous hat designer Philip Treacy.
Joining the locks fitted to the suites and guestrooms are bespoke Salto wall readers, specially designed for the hotel, featuring push button LED ‘Do not disturb’ signs.
Doorware had to ensure it did not spoil the aesthetics of the hotel’s modern design. Hotel general manager Irina Agostinelli said: “To make sure our guests are secure during their stay, we wanted a stylish high performance locking system that not only looked good, but also offered us the latest technology and was capable of growing with us in the future. Salto has provided all of this and more.”
