The ODA wants an access control system that can be networked and housed in access portals with token and other access technologies controlling gates, turnstiles, barriers and door locks.
All staff and visitors will be made to enter the site through the portals.
The successful system needs to be in use throughout the Park’s legacy transformation phase, and could be used during the actual Games, subject to the needs of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
Last week, the ODA began accepting submissions from companies interested in providing manned guarding services at the Olympic Park.
For full details on either of these opportunities, see the ODA’s prequalification questionnaire documentation on the 2012 eTendering website.
