Ganz mini domes are Pixim-powered
Ganz’s parent company, CBC, will distribute the cameras with its in-house Computar varifocal lenses already integrated.
“Understanding the growing demand for WDR dome cameras, we were anxious to find a partner that would provide us with a proven solution,” said Jim Holihan, vice president of Ganz.
“Pixim leads the way in delivering outstanding image quality, particularly in the toughest backlight conditions.”
The ZC-DW4039PHA and ZC-DWT4039PHA cameras feature Pixim’s award-winning Digital Pixel System, which is said to allow individual pixel sampling to determine optimum exposure in all areas of the image.
This should provide a balanced exposure of both bright and dark areas in the same scene, making the cameras useful where backlighting is a problem.
“The dome’s digital day/night and frame integration modes capitalise on Pixim’s technology to achieve enhanced low light performance,” the chipset manufacturer said.
Other features include a proprietary pan/tilt/rotation gimbal mechanism for mounting the Ganz dome on horizontal or vertical surfaces and an optical quality distortion-free dome cover with black inner liner. The liner is available with a weatherproof (IP66 rated) and impact-resistant polycarbonate bubble.
