ASC patron on New Year honours list
Lord Imbert is an active supporter of the ASC and recently chaired the Association’s annual conference, Consec.
Now Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, Lord Imbert was commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service from 1987 to 1993. There, he instituted a wide-ranging survey and research into the corporate identity, management and operating style of the Met.
This resulted in the rebranding of the force as the Metropolitan Police Service, a name it retains today.
“The ASC is delighted that Lord Imbert has been recognised in the New Year’s honours list and value his longstanding contribution to the Association,” a spokesperson said.
