Assisting Camden
The system was put in place to provide efficient incident logging and to generate a wide range of statistical reports and analysis. Camden’s 130-camera surveillance network covers the borough’s High Streets, tube stations, shopping areas and markets.
The initial logging of incidents is actioned by control room staff, who submit a CCTV Incident Report form for every incident witnessed.
With the V-TAS database, archived events are automatically cross-referenced, avoiding the duplication of logged events, and allowing economical use of operator and management time.
