State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

In-car DVR

The DVR, which begins recording as soon as the engine is turned on, can be linked to a tiny camera hidden at the front of the vehicle to make sure every twist and turn is saved up for future reference.

With 75 degree vision and more than 380 TV lines, the recorder compresses footage at MPEG4, near-DVD quality.

To get started, drivers simply clamp the wide angle reflector onto their existing mirror, connect it to the waterproof 35mm camera and begin filming.

The anti-glare mirror’s 2.5″ TFT screen allows motorists to instantly play back footage and when the DVR’s two-hour memory is full it automatically begins recording over the earliest footage.

A mini speaker can even be set up to monitor audio and, for the particularly paranoid, rear-view cameras are also available.

The DVR is available directly from its manufacturer, InterTech Group, for US$265.
