China to get 2,000 Panasonic cameras for Olympics
A range of the Japanese manufacturer’s products, including the Super Dynamic III (SD III) colour PTZ, will help bolster security at major venues like the International Broadcasting Centre, Tiajian City’s Olympic Centre Stadium and the National Convention Centre in Beijing.
Featuring high sensitivity and high resolution, the weatherproof SD III cameras are suitable for use indoors and out. With 128x dynamic range they are said to provide clear, high-quality images.
Panasonic has been the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner for audio and video since the Olympic Partner Programme began in 1988. In 2006, the sponsorship category was extended to include AV security systems and since then, Panasonic has contributed a wide variety of security products to Olympic venues, including monitoring systems and surveillance cameras.
