Personnel and students felt unsafe and the surveillance of the university area was challenging as it consists of close to one hundred buildings. A major computer theft justified installing a new video surveillance solution. The Mirasys V series solution features local data acquisition, analysis and recording, combined with central management and remote monitoring tools. Existing analogue cameras can be used individually or with new IP cameras.
The investment has paid off as thefts, loss and vandalism have almost ceased to occur. The images provided by the system have aided in obtaining compensation from culprits.
