DVR adds IP capability for small business

The entry-level DVR has from four to 16 analogue camera channels and one IP camera channel that supports megapixel devices.

Darryl Coffey, of distributor Premier Electronics, said the combination is designed to allow the easy upgrading of older analogue systems to digital, and enables the creation of powerful 1+X security solutions.

“In 1+X solutions, a system consisting of analogue cameras is augmented with a single megapixel quality IP camera; the analogue cameras are used to track movement and incidents, while the strategically placed megapixel camera is used to identify people and items in clear detail,” he said.

“The DVR provides inputs for audio and text data devices, external video matrices, alarm input and output devices, as well as a joystick or keyboard controller for dome camera control. V1000 models also support Mirasys DINA capture cards and therefore allow the upgrade of Mirasys DINA DVRs to V1000 products.

“This is an out-of-the-box solution which includes the computer, interface cards and Mirasys V1000 software – just add a screen, cables and cameras.”
