BSIA welcomes Clearwater to Close Protection Section
BSIA chief executive (Designate), John Bates, said: “I am delighted to welcome Clearwater as the first principal member of our Close Protection Section. Clearwater started in business as a result of Prince’s Trust funding and its success to date is testament to the worth of such initiatives.
“Clearwater has played an active part alongside the BSIA in the development of a new British Standard for the close protection sector, and this demonstrates its commitment to upholding standards which very much ties in with the ethos of the BSIA.
“Over the past few years regulation, coupled with significant investment in training, has seen close protection emerge as an increasingly vital sector within the security industry. As such, the BSIA sees close protection as a key area for growth in 2009 and I look forward to working with close protection companies as they join to build a strong section of membership that can make a real difference in the industry.”
Pilgrim’s Group Ltd, already a member of the BSIA Security Guarding Section, is now an additional section member of the Close Protection Section.
Close protection companies interested in joining the BSIA should contact the Association via email: <a href=”mailto:[email protected]”>[email protected]</a> or on 0845 389 3889.
