The SI-PP500 combines the Cotag card technology with a proprietary bi-direction communication protocol (BC-LINK) to offer online status monitoring.
The SI-PP500 also supports Wiegand and Clock&Data protocols that make it possible to connect the reader not only to Siemens and legacy Bewator systems, but also other access control and/or intrusion systems.
The SI-PP500 is suitable for either indoor or outdoor use, but its robust metal housing makes it particularly suitable for installations in a harsh environment, Siemens says.
With additional accessories like the SH2 Rain Cover and the BB3 Flush Mounting Kit it is possible for the reader to withstand extremely tough weather conditions and vandalism attempts.
