Andy Hays – the operations manager at CCTV In Focus – was invited to present at the Secured by Design 2009 training event. Hays conducted six workshops on the subject of the National CCTV Strategy and the benefits of Home Office standards.
“Judging by the keen interest shown and the questions asked by the 285 delegates who attended the six workshops, there’s a great desire to ensure that all Stakeholders gain the maximum possible benefit from CCTV,” explained Hays.
CCTV point well made
The delegates were a mixture of architectural liaison officers and crime reduction officers. John Hills – architectural liaison officer for Essex Police, who attended one of the workshops – said: “The training session provided by Andy was excellent. He and his colleagues at CCTV In Focus are championing the cause for the independent testing and auditing of CCTV systems. Their emphasis on the need for an operational requirement for every CCTV system is a point well made.”
CCTV In Focus offers its services either directly to end users or via insurance companies, manufacturers, installers and consultants to ensure that an installer understands a customer’s operational requirements for CCTV, and that surveillance systems are subsequently installed, commissioned and tested to the agreed specification.
