In Swindon, the Security Industry Authority and Wiltshire Police found that all of 17 doors supervisors checked at seven venues held valid SIA licences.
And during the checks in Burton upon Trent, 24 doormen at 11 pubs and bars were checked, with all door staff holding valid SIA licences.
Sharon Roberts, an SIA head of investigation, said: “Burton upon Trent has been long associated with the brewing industry, so it is reassuring for the public that when they visit their local pub, they are in safe hands with trained and qualified door staff, who are ensuring they have an enjoyable and safe night out.
“The high level of compliance found during this operation shows the recognition and value of an SIA licence.”
