Quest Software Inc., an enterprise systems management vendor, bagged the ‘Great Indian Developer Award II’ in the security segment for their product ‘InTrust’. The award was received by Krishnan Thyagarajan, MD, Quest Software India, at the JN Tata Auditorium, IISc, on April 25.
The Great Indian Developer Awards honour trailblazing technologies and organisations contributing to the evangelism, productivity and innovation excellence of the software developer ecosystem. Quest Software’s InTrust was highly acclaimed for understanding the user and administrator activity which is the pulse of a secure and well-managed infrastructure.
Quest Software competed with industry stalwarts spread across various areas of security (authentication and encryption, code analysis, firewalls, network monitoring, system enhancements, system monitoring and spam prevention). The initial three-stage selection process involved people voting for each category.
In the final stage, votes were consolidated and an esteemed panel of judges selected the winners. Quest Software’s InTrust scored on being a single user interface to both – policy compliance monitoring and real-time, business- critical security event alerting.
Reiterating the value of the first laurel for Quest Software in India, Thyagarajan said: “Great Indian Developer Award is a stamp attesting the quality of our security solutions. Securing votes from a community well-versed with technological developments, speaks of our success in resolving issues arising out of the heterogeneous IT environment, thereby reaffirming our commitment towards security issues.”
