The manufacturer will provide a certificated foundation course and a selection of specialist courses for trainees.
Pat Jefferies, director, said the courses would have generic content, although some specialist courses would centre on the company’s products.
He said there was a need for such training because locksmiths and access control installers approached the work in different ways and needed to widen their skills.
Courses, “designed to be a mark of excellence”, will be in foundation level, electric locking and door automation as well as the company’s Smartair contact free solution and Cliq Remote.
The fully equipped purpose-built Academy training rooms are based at the company’s headquarters in Watford.
Courses will last from one to three days.
