To illustrate its ease of use and how simple it is to install, Assa Abloy Access Control launched a competition at IFSEC 2011 to establish the fastest time a traditional mechanical cylinder could be changed to an Aperio cylinder.

Baynham completed the changeover in just 1 minute 36 seconds, fighting off second place Tony Richards from Secure Access Control who took 1.37 minutes, and John Sims of Herts Security who completed the task in 1.57 minutes.
Impressive installation times
Matt Thomas, managing director of Assa Abloy Access Control, said: “We had a really good response to our competition at IFSEC with some really impressive installation times and many visitors commenting on just how easy Aperio is to install and programme.
“However, Kevin really stole the show with completing the challenge so quickly and a worthy winner of the iPad.”
