RISCO Group’s ProSYS Integrated Security System in tandem with Concept Smoke Screen protection and IP monitoring is the solution for luxury jewellery chain Aurum Holdings. Access control, CCTV and fire systems are joined and smoke generators remote-controlled.
MITIE Total Security Management
Capgemini is one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services and required a full systems installation with a single front-end and GUI for monitoring all aspects of security on site. MITIE TSM made that wish become a reality.
OpenView
Your Homes Newcastle wanted the latest IP technology to provide additional security for residents of the Riverside Dene Housing Estate. OpenView has delivered a fully-networked and scalable system centrally controlled from a master concierge security centre.
Reliance High-Tech
Reliance High-Tech designed, installed and commissioned a fully IP-enabled security system for engineering specialist Fluor comprising 40-plus cameras, approximately 80 readers, intercom and car parking system and turnstiles integrated into a security management system.
RISCO Group
RISCO Group’s SynopSYS PSIM-based security software solution is installed at East Surrey College as a single user interface on a dedicated PC. This GUI displays real-time status of all intruder detectors through icons depicting locations on site-specific maps.
Scada Systems
The company supplied, installed and integrated 20 different systems for the world class facility that is the Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. CCTV, access control and Public Address are all part of the security mix.
Schneider Electric
The existing access control and the general security solution at the University of the West of England were difficult to manage. Schneider Electric provided a solution with one command point specifically designed to proactively resolve any security breaches.
SECOM plc
SECOM met with Carphone Warehouse’s loss prevention team to discuss all options available for cutting on-site crime. The VisionGuard solution includes fixed and radio ‘suspect’ buttons linked to high resolution cameras and SECOM’s dedicated RVRC.
Universal Security Systems
Faced with an expanding portfolio of buildings and the amalgamation of the UK Border Agency’s controls with the HMRC team’s systems, the Government approached Universal to design and implement a programme bringing together access control systems from all over the UK and Europe to enhance border control.
William Hill
Working with Positive Response, William Hill has installed a multi-function security system – designated ‘StaffSafe’ – at 50 medium/high risk shops. StaffSafe is a two-way communication solution connecting shop staff with a central monitoring station.

This award is for the individual or organisation deemed by the Judges to have made the most positive use of Information Technology in the security sector, and is open to manufacturers, consultants, security guarding companies, installers and managers
ASIS International and Easy2Solve
A new, highly intuitive software suite has been launched by ASIS and Easy2Solve to support the ASIS-led Organisational Resilience (OR) Standard (which is adopted by the US Department of Homeland Security as an approved standard). This solution is able to measure an organisation’s existing risk treatments and safeguards to ensure that they’re not only effective but also fit-for-purpose.
CIS Security
In partnership with Working Pulse, CIS Security has introduced a new IT system right across the business. The eZworkforceTM v2: Centralising Workforce Management solution delivers management and scheduling functionality to external (ie site-based) supervisors and regional managers. The same portal allows for all personnel to request holiday periods and view and confirm timesheet details.
MITIE Total Security Management
MITIE Total Security Manager (MiTSM) is a web-based management system developed to make frontline roles more efficient. Key processes including payroll procedures and holiday approvals have been streamlined resulting in time savings of 3,000 minutes per day for MITIE’s team of operational managers. MiTSM is also a motivational tool for security officers as the system facilitates faster and more efficient ways of communicating with line management.

The Travel Risk Intelligence Service (TRIS) is a highly accessible and secure web-based application that uses leading edge technology to monitor and then immediately alert subscribers to international incidents and potential threats that could affect the health, safety and well-being of business travellers and expats.
