MITIE’s MiTec hub adopts WebWay technology
Robert McAllister, technical manager at MITIE, said: “MITIE’s priority is to work in partnership with our clients to deliver technology-driven, future-proofed security solutions. WebWay signalling fits that bill for customers who want to upgrade.
“WebWay signalling has enabled MITIE to deliver that future-proofed solution capable of integrating fire and intruder alarms, BMS, Audio and EAS; saving large sums per annum in telephone line rentals.
“MiTec delivers greater efficiency and advanced technology solutions, bringing innovation to the forefront of everything we do. Integration with WebWay offers benefits for our clients and our business.
“During these harder economic times, efficiency and managing resources becomes increasingly valuable. Offering WebWay solutions provide secure alarm signalling and a reliable managed service that we trust in.”
Operational cost benefits
WebWay claims that customers upgrading to its service “realise operational cost benefits through reduced visits for false alarms and servicing. For end users who are operating with fewer loss prevention resources; WebWay transmits detailed alarm events for improved remote management and fewer site visits. Using WebWay’s detailed remote diagnostics, engineers can achieve a first visit fix and frequently perform remote servicing for maximum reliability”.
WebWayOne says it is the first alarm transmission service provider to obtain the approval of the LPS1277 Issue 3 standard.
McAlister said: “WebWay’s LPS certified product range greatly strengthens our service offering. The standard specifies dual path reporting time to 3.5 minutes for IP/GPRS and 11 minutes for GPRS/PSTN. It reduces the time lag between failure and reporting time, meaning we are able to offer our clients a valuable and reliable monitoring service.
“We can be sure that their products are manufactured to the highest standards having met the requirements of the LPCB’s rigorous Factory Production Control (FPC) inspection and passing the assessment of manufacturing and quality processes for the Construction Products Directive (CPD).”
