Hikvision technology in place ahead of Brazil 2014 World Cup
The Belo Horizonte’ traffic agency worked with video surveillance firm Hikvision to develop the project.
Alvaro de Souza, CCTV manager at VMI Sistemas de Seguranca – Hikvision’s distributor responsible for developing the project – chose Hikvision’s DS-2DF1-517-B Network Speed Dome. He said: “It can quickly zoom onto moving objects, while immediately allowing the security operator to clearly identify who, or what, it is.”
The equipment allows clear images to be seen in low lighting conditions, says the Hikvision. It can also deliver clear images during zoom. In addition, images captured are shown at the main TV broadcast company in Brazil, allowing traffic authorities to help the public choose or avoid certain roads during rush hours.
