Kings Security Systems and Veracity strengthen business intelligence and customer support
Mark Smyth joined Kings in June last year as business support manager to its banking services division, and brings with him over 20 years’ experience of the service industry, most of these spent within the security services sector.
Prior to starting at Kings, Smyth worked with an international plc high security company (where he served as head of business support for the UK) and also went on secondment to support the client director for one of the major UK retail banks.
As an experienced project manager of high security services within the retail banking sector, Smyth is a valuable addition to the team.
At the time of his appointment Kings was awarded the Grapevine Contract by ‘The Post Office Ltd’ for the provision of security intelligence. Using his experience of transitional takeovers, Smyth led the implementation programme for these services which was successfully completed within 45 days.
“I have a great deal of experience of business support processes, streamlining systems and information to deliver synergies and Best Practice,” outlined Smyth. “We can now help bring strategic direction and growth of services and innovation to the business.”
He added: “Having worked for an international plc it was refreshing to see that Kings has an unrestrained and flexible approach. The skills, knowledge, drive and enthusiasm of my team ensured our successful implementation of these services and that a first class service was delivered on time.”
Veracity deepens customer support provision with new appointment
Veracity has recruited Jules Free as its new sales support engineer with the aim of expanding the company’s sales support operations and ensuring its customers always receive professional sales support across a growing range of products.
Free will be working from Veracity’s headquarters in Prestwick, Scotland to help customers gain the most from the organisation’s products, providing advice and support for incoming enquiries.
Free will also be supporting Veracity’s growing field sales team.
In days gone by, Free worked for surveillance distributor CCTV Center, which is a sole UK and Ireland distributor for Panasonic’s i-Pro surveillance products range.
During his eight years with CCTV Center, Free’s roles included systems designer, key account manager and technical sales manager.
Prior to working at CCTV Center, Free was in operations for Enterprise Reliant Services as well as for Video Imaging Supplies (VIS, now part of Norbain) as a customer services manager.
He joins following Veracity’s recent launch of successful innovations such as the HighWire Powerstar (which delivers Ethernet and Power over Coax at distances up to 500 metres) and the Ooutreach Max XT for data and Power over Ethernet (PoE) in external installations.
In recent months, the order book for the company’s video surveillance storage system Coldstore has also accelerated further on both sides of the Atlantic.
Speaking about Free’s appointment, Alastair McLeod (managing director of Veracity UK Ltd) commented: “We welcome Jules to the Veracity family. He has worked for highly respected companies and has strong experience in sales and technical roles within the video surveillance industry.”
McLeod added: “Jules is highly capable and joins Veracity at a time when we are experiencing strong growth. We know that he will deliver high levels of support for our customers and our sales teams.”
