Now available with iClass smart cards, the ASSA Smartair system can offer a higher level of security and flexibility to connect with almost any access control system, says the company, through encryption and mutual authentication.
Nojmol Islam, product manager for ASSA, said: “The ASSA Smartair system is available in various formats, including offline classic, update on card, online wireless versions and standalone systems, ideal for smaller installations. The availability with HID’s iClass smart card technology adds yet another degree of data integrity to the innovative access control system, allowing multiple applications on one card.
“As well as making the system more versatile creating more convenient access tools, the availability of HID iClass technology also improves security, thanks to its enhanced levels of encryption. Plus, the reliability associated with HID iClass proximity technology will aid building management and help to reduce maintenance costs and call outs.”
