Hikvision takes top spot in world CCTV sales
The World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment – 2012 Edition puts the company in the top spot by sales revenue in 2011.
“We are pleased with the results of the recent IMS report,” said Polo Cai, vice president of Hikvision. “This achievement highlights our efforts in the security marketplace and is an affirmation of our ongoing business model. Furthermore, IP surveillance – which has experienced consistently strong growth over the years – remains a key focus area for Hikvision.”
According to the report, published last month, the top five companies by sales revenues in 2011 are:
1. Hikvision
2. Panasonic System Networks (PSN)
3. Axis Communications
4. Bosch Security Systems
5. Samsung Techwin
Gary Wong, senior analyst at IMS Research, said:
“In a span of a year, Hikvision soared to become the world’s No.1 CCTV and video surveillance equipment provider, improving from last year’s fourth position. This result confirms their efforts. By following technology trends such as the transition from analogue to network video surveillance, Hikvision has achieved greater market expansion.”
