State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Apprentice installer award winner

Moody, 20, is a third-year apprentice at Securi-Plex Ltd, with experience in the installation of intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.

James Kelly, BSIA chief executive, said:

“This year’s winner stands out for his mature attitude and dedication to developing his skills and knowledge of the industry. I hope he will consider this as the first of the many rewards that will come to him from working in the private security industry.”

Mark Cunningham, assessor at Skills for Security, said: “Oliver is ahead of the pack and continues to outperform many other apprentices of his age. He takes pride in developing his NVQ portfolio, and his work both on site and at college is of a very high standard.”

The award was presented by Sir Hugh Orde OBE QPM, president of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), at the BSIA’s annual lunch at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 27 June.
