Aico has introduced new Firecap fire protection intumescent gaskets, which are designed to offer 60 minutes’ fire protection if a fire starts in a plug or switch box. Designed to comply with building and IEE regulations, the gaskets have been independently tested to meet BS 476: parts 20 and 22.
Claimed to be both economical and simple to install, Firecap gaskets are non-toxic and rot-proof.
Also new from Aico is the Firecap range of fire protection pillows, designed to create a temporary or permanent barrier around all types of services, to prevent fire spreading through a compartment wall or door.
