The City of Los Angeles has given general approval for flexible fire sprinkler connections manufactured by FlexHead Industries.
City engineers have judges the products to be suitable for their intended use, and that they comply with the Los Angeles Plumbing Code in quality, strength, fire resistance, effectiveness, durability and safety.
FlexHead developed the first viable flexible fire connections over 20 years to protect semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Because they can move as needed in any direction, flexible connections eliminate concerns about hard-pipe armover joint leaks caused by seismic activity or, more commonly, building shifts and settlement.
