Next year’s Fire & Rescue Exhibition and Conference will be held in Liverpool together with the World Firefighters Games 2008 from 27-29 August, at the city’s new Arena and Convention Centre.
Organised by CMP Information, publishers of FSE, Fire and Rescue is run on behalf of the Chief Fire Officers’ Association, the Institution of Fire Engineers and the Fire Protection Association, in partnership with Merseyside Fire and Rescue. Liverpool is European Capital of Culture for 2008.
The organisers promise some spectacular live displays, with firefighting scenarios such as urban search and rescue, vehicle fires and simulated domestic fires.
“I can think of no better place to hold Fire & Rescue Exhibition & Conference 2008,” said Peter Holland, chief fire officer for Lancashire Fire & Rescue and chairman of FCEL. “Teaming up with the 6,000 strong contingent that makes up the World Firefighters Games at the all-new state-of-the-art Liverpool Arena & Convention Centre, we can all look forward to what is certain to be a truly memorable and successful event.”
