Bechtel in Houston has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Asab Gas Development (AGD) II project in Abu Dhabi, and it has awarded the multi-million dollar fire protection contract associated with this project to Tyco Fire & Security in Abu Dhabi.
The project is designed to treat 800 million standard cubic feet per day to recover 6400 tons per day of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) from the existing Asab Gas Plant.
The fire protection project awarded to Tyco Fire & Security includes the supply, design and installation of Inergen gaseous suppression systems, deluge sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and fire and gas detection systems.
Jeff Sheldon, general manager of Tyco Fire & Security in Abu Dhabi said: “I am extremely pleased that we have been chosen to be part of this project. This is one of the largest contracts that we have undertaken.”
