BC80A offers the solution for a variety of applications, from hotels and commercial buildings to residential complexes, government buildings and retail stores.
Ease and speed of installation are claimed to be prime characteristics of BC80A, with polarity-free wiring guaranteeing that poles cannot be accidentally reversed. Networking of the BC80A fire detectors, peripheral equipment and control panels is therefore not only rapid, but also accurate, ensuring that the essential signals reach their destination. This ease of installation follows through to maintenance.
BC80A offers the all important flexibility for system expansion, modernisation and backwards compatible innovations, through its open topology approach. Up to 32 control panels can be networked via the A-bus, while optional line or expansion cards allow an increase in the number of peripheral devices that can be connected. The system technology also features patented process algorithms and ASICS, increasing immunity to environmental factors. An example of this is the automatic drift compensation in the detectors, ensuring that sensitivity remains constant, even if the surrounding atmosphere is unclean.
Simplicity has been applied to the user interface, minimising the time required for security personnel to familiarise themselves with the system. The keypad and menu of BC80A are both ergonomically designed for ease of operation.
If control is required of other automatic fire protection measures within the building (e.g. closing smoke protection flaps in air-conditioning ducts or switching off ventilation systems), special interfaces allow this to be done via BC80A. An external extinguishing control system can also be accessed and activated automatically through B-bus. This combines the benefits of swift detection with no delay in initiating firefighting measures.
