Passive protection fills gaps around the world

[

PFC Corofil, which has been involved in projects around the world, has a growing range of passive fire protection products and it now offers the eco-friendly Fastight system which reduces air leakage from both new and existing buildings.

The company offers a range of penetration seals and cavity barriers to meet, it says, today’s design specifications to stop fire, air, noise and the creation greenhouse gases.

With its origins in the construction industry, PFC Corofil claims to have been the first manufacturer of passive fire products. Today, the company’s products can be found in high profile buildings including Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, St Pancras International station, Heathrow Terminal 5 and Sydney’s Olympic stadium.

Having recently opened a manufacturing base in China to cater for the growing Far Eastern market, PFC Corofil group managing director, Julia Guerard, commented: “Our involvement with so many high profile construction projects throughout the world and our planned growth into new regions is very exciting, but we always ensure we recognise the needs of building projects closer to home. With the government’s desire to see a growth in high quality and environmentally sustainable construction, we know our fire protection and new Fastight products will fill both gaps in buildings, and the gap between commercial and residential projects.”
