At the heart of Blackpool town centre next to Blackpool Tower, the GB pound 35 million refurbishment and extension of Houndshill Shopping Centre is taking place as part of a 15-year development plan to transform the seaside town. Helping to increase the safety of Blackpool’s shoppers when the new centre opens this spring will be Prsymian’s FP fire performance cables.
Prysmian’s FP200 Gold and FP400 cables have been specified to power the fire alarm and essential life safety systems of the redevelopment. At 398,000 sq ft, the new shopping centre will be three times the size of the original building and will provide a retail experience to rival the major north-west cities.
