Sounders and beacon gain VdS mark

[

Cooper Fulleon has announced an expansion of VdS approvals on it core sounder, beacon and AV products. This, says the company, complements the fact that all its products meet the legislative requirements such as the Waste Electronic & Electrical Equipment and the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directives.

The products that have been approved by Vds include the RoLP, Askari Compact, Squashni Micro, Symphoni, Symphoni High Output, Flashni, RoLP Solista and Solex. VdS approval is German based and is accepted in many other countries.

The company has also introduced a 9V-60V module so that its less recently introduced products can now operate over that wider supply range. Apart from the obvious advantage of allowing products to operate over an extended supply range there is also the added benefit that at 12Vdc, the output of sounders can be boosted by up to 6dB. For the Flashni, which has separate versions for 12V and 24V operation, the addition of the module permits the 24V unit to be used for 12V, 24V and 48V systems, potentially reducing the diversity of products that have to be stocked.

Initially the module will be introduced for the Symphoni range and later for products compatible with the Roshni style bayonet bases.
