Nano Alarm Panel, designed by installers for installers

On-site expertise has been the driving force behind the design of Gent by Honeywell’s latest range of fire alarm panels. The Nano control panel, which can support a 127-device loop, has been developed by working in partnership with the Gent network of Systems Integrators (SIs).
The two main stipulations laid down by engineers were to make the panel easy to use, and for it to aesthetically match the design of modern interiors. Vigilon loop devices used in the S-Quad and S-Cubed Gent ranges offer the high level of functionality normally only seen in large installations, says the company.
Mark Ayton, managing director of Gent by Honeywell said that the Nano’s blend of design and functionality offers scope for advanced technology to be utilised in smaller buildings. “We included our network of SIs in the process from the start, so they could choose the style and function which they will find best to work with when installing it. They were presented with various design options, with all feedback incorporated into the product development process.”
