A fire which destroyed a food factory in Norfolk was caused while cooking hams, an investigation has revealed.
Up to 70 firefighters responded to the blaze at the Broadland Hams factory in Norwich, which broke out around 1.30pm on Wednesday 9 November.
Factory staff were evacuated and there were no reports of any serious injuries, though one person was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation. People from neighbouring businesses were also evacuated and surrounding roads were closed.
Crews used hose reels and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire. Roof tiles were removed and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.
Firefighters eventually extinguished the blaze in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Richard Herrell, group manager from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, told BBC News there was still an ongoing risk the building would fully collapse, but added the area was contained and of no further risk to the public.
