IFSEC Southeast Asia, the region’s largest security, fire and safety exhibition organised by UBM, today opened the doors to the industry for what is set to be a show stopping event taking place from 3-5 September at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
IFSEC Southeast Asia is the largest exhibition in the region for security, fire and safety professionals and is supported by the Royal Malaysia Police, Ministry of Home Affairs Malaysia, Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing & Local Government Malaysia, PDRM, CyberSecurity Malaysia, Asian Professional Security Association (APSA – Malaysia Chapter), British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS – Malaysia Chapter).
Confirming the importance IFSEC Southeast Asia has within the industry, Tan Sri Khalid, Inspector General of The Royal Malaysia Police said: “Keeping updated on the ever-changing face of technology has proven effective in thwarting criminal efforts that would use the same mastery to break the law.
“This year’s Government Security and Enforcement Section at IFSEC Southeast Asia 2014 are timely and will once again showcase some of the world’s cutting-edge crime prevention technology.”
More than 300 exhibitors from 36 countries around the region, including national pavilions from United Kingdom, Taiwan, China and Singapore will showcase the latest technology and solutions available to market. Major participants include; Axis Communications, Comnet, Sunell, Panasonic , Microsoft, 2N Telecommunications, Nemtek, Dahua Technology, Panther 911, Microengine, GMO Globalsign, Neuropower, MSC Trustgate, Fingertec Worldwide, Dell, Prisma Bytes, Zkteco, AFS Security & Automation, Digistar and many other key industry players.
Running alongside the exhibition will be the IFSEC Global Security Technology Showcase, a seminar programme that will feature 20 hours of content to enhance the knowledge of attendees. Sessions include ‘Digital Video Evidence Readiness in Combating Crime’ hosted by Mr. Mohd Zabri Adil bin Talib, Head, Digital Forensics, as well as, ‘Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) for Remote Unmanned Sites’ presented by Gord Loney, Vice President Product Sales, Senstar Corporation. The exhibition will also host the prestigious APSA conference, a high-level insight into the strategic side of security.
