IP mini dome camera review: Pelco Sarix IM10LW-V

The Pelco Sarix IM10LW10-1V is an IP Mini Dome Camera with Pelco’s SureVision technology. SureVision allows a scene that features intensely lit or shaded areas to be more visible.

It includes impressive low-light technology, wide dynamic range, and anti-bloom technology, so it dealt with our tests extremely well. We were able to see a vehicle’s number plate through the glare of headlights.

But it’s not a perfect system, with some artefacting around the lights and a lot of noise in some low-light testing.

Installers might be frustrated at the small size of the back box, which makes fitting all the wires quite difficult, but features such as the USB-accessory port give you great opportunities for added auxiliary or audio in/outs.

As a daytime camera, the Pelco Sarix IM10LW10-1V performed as you would expect for a camera in this price range. But it was the SureVision technology that really blew us away, so if it’s low-light images you’re after, this camera is worth a look.
