Video encoder review: DvTel ioibox TRK1

The ioibox trk1 is a video encoder that will simply add video analytics to your analogue surveillance system.

It will add entry detection, crossing detection, fence trespassing, and loitering detection.

It’s a versatile box that can be used either as an encoder to bring an analogue camera onto a digital platform or it can be used simply to add video analytics.

The analytics are highly customisable, which is a real plus, but there are significant drawbacks with a maximum resolution of just 352×288 and a clumsy manual setup process.

It is designed to be placed indoors and uses MJPEG compression.
