UBM India announced a strategic tie-up with Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI), a non-profit organization representing the Fire Protection, Life Safety, Security, Building Automation, Loss Prevention and Risk Management domains. FSAI has an overarching commitment to enhance the safety and security of the citizens of India. FSAI will work exclusively with IFSEC India (owned by UBM India) among large format Security and Fire exhibitions in India. Likewise, FSAI will be the primary and exclusive partner from Security and Fire related associations for IFSEC and FIREX shows.
UBM India also plans to re-launch FIREX India show with a dedicated pavilion at IFSEC India 2014 for the companies dealing in fire and life safety related products.
Commenting on the association Joji George, managing director, UBM India said “The India security industry is today at an interesting juncture. While the India share is only One percent of global security spend, it clearly outlines the huge latent demand that exists in India hence around 25 percent growth being witnessed today which is expected to reach 30 percent in near future. This promises an opportunist future for the India security industry and IFSEC India. We are happy to partner with FSAI in further tapping this market to address the security needs of multiple verticals in India.”
On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Rajan Luthra, national president – FSAI said “We believe this strategic partnership shall provide a major boost to the initiatives of both FSAI and UBM India in furthering the interests of the security and life safety industry in India in a sustainable manner. The partnership shall enable FSAI to support greater success for IFSEC & FIREX in the years to come. UBM India’s professional support for our mega road-show ‘India Fire & Security Yatra’ will add substantial value to our members across all 11 chapters while taking the IFSEC brand to a larger audience.”
A recent report titled “India Electronic Security Equipment Market Outlook 2016” estimates the total sales of electronic security equipment to surpass USD 1.4 Billion (approximately INR 8,400 Crore) by 2016.
