A fire earlier this week at a care home in Kent resulted in the death of an elderly resident.
Firefighters were confronted with a well developed fire with people trapped inside at the care home in Westgate on Sea.
At the height of the blaze five fire engines and specialist support vehicles attended. Eight firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were then sent into the three storey building to search for casualties. 25 people were led to safety and paramedics attended to one casualty who was rescued by fire crews.
Kent Fire and Rescue say the fire is not being treated as suspicious but the cause is being investigated.
