Relatives of those who died in the fire at Lakanal House in Camberwell in July 2009 have made an official complaint to the Metropolitan Police commissioner about the delay in the investigation.

The Metropolitan Police responded that the delays were the result of a complex investigation which is ongoing. Meanwhile, two and a half years after the fire, Lakanal House itself remains empty and a crime scene.
