IFSEC South India 2011: Milestone Systems to set up office in India
Milestone Systems, a world market leader for open platform IP systems. Security Camera and Network Camera video surveillance software, will soon be setting up an office in Bangalore.
Rohit Khubchandani, Regional Sales Manager – India, Milestone Systems Middle East, who is attending IFSEC South India event said, “Milestone Systems decided on Bangalore after considering various cities. We are still in the process of getting approvals from various departments. Also, we are ramping up our sales team in India.”
“The dedicated team based in India will manage the growth and cater to the requirements of the market. We will be adding more distributors, installers, and integration solution partners, as well as providing training certifications for them in our higher end products,” added Khubchandani.
Milestone plans to invest in local resources and expertise by establishing a physical office in India and ramping up its team in India to focus on the needs of the Indian market in 2011 and beyond.
Khubchandani stated that, “With rapidly increasing urbanization, economic liberalization and criminal activities at different levels of the society, terror threats and especially after the 26/11 bombing there is a clear need to deploy and upgrade the security infrastructure to more modern and sophisticated equipment across the country. In this scenario, the Indian security market is poised for exponential growth.”
According to Khubchandani, “The market response to Milestone products has been phenomenal. Milestone has grown its turnover on its product sales and implementations by more than 50%, selling over 5,000 channels in India in the year 2010. The future pipeline looks very strong as well, with many interesting projects being discussed with our partners.”
