Zicom introduces new service in India
Zicom Electronic Security Systems Limited (Zicom), India’s first organized electronic security solutions provider has launched a new security service Plan ‘8 Ka Dum’, which offers 24 x 7 intrusion detection monitoring service at only INR Rs 16/- per day.
‘8 Ka Dum’ service provides business and home owners with eight solid security benefits to safeguard their premises from a host of potential security threats in concomitance to a first of its kind ‘We fail, we pay’ promise.
“The 8 Ka Dum service is an endeavour to provide a holistic and affordable solution to make the security of one’s person, both at home and one’s place of business available to all”, said Pramoud Rao, Managing Director and Promoter, Zicom.
‘8 Ka Dum’ is now available at a one-time sign-up fee of Rs 4950 including registration, installation and comprehensive of annual maintenance charges with a minimum payment of six months service fee. Zicom has made an investment of Rs. 20 crore in this service and endeavours to continue extending its services to secure thousands of offices and homes across the country.
Supported by a domain knowledge and expertise spanning around two decades, this security service plan offered by Zicom provides eight solid benefits to its customers.
24 x 7 burglary protection enabled by magnetic door sensors and advanced motion sensors that detect any unauthorized movement or intrusion within a premise in addition to security from other potential threats such as fire using smoke detection systems.
SMS alerts on the arming and disarming of the security systems at a premise as well as daily SMS alerts about the opening and closing time of an office place allowing owners to remotely keep track of the workings of their business.
SMS alerts are also provided during defined emergencies such as an attempted break-in or the detection of smoke, enabling the property owner to take the required action in time.
In case of an alarm being triggered, the Emergency Response Management service extended by Zicom as a part of this plan ensures that the owner of the property is informed of the situation by the monitoring specialists from Zicom via a telephonic call, with local law-enforcement and safety authorities also alerted if required.
The ‘8 Ka Dum’ service plan also offers free insurance up to Rs. 2, 00,000/- for fire and theft covering free breakdown insurance of up to Rs. 40,000 for electronic appliance repairs.

Key fob to arm and disarm the security at a premise with additional benefits that include a host of other security products such as shutter sensors, smoke detectors, glass break detector, hooters offered at minimum extra service charge.
