Songs about security: The Alarm
So. The Alarm. Pretty obvious, huh? But it had to be done.
It was suggested way back in the first week of Songs About Security, by David Pratt, in our comments section. And, to be honest, I did have the group in mind.
You could argue that this is a ‘band about security’ rather than a song, and in some ways you’d be right. But not for long. Because I’d come right back and say, “Well, the song is called ‘Strength’, and strength as a concept is integral to many physical security products, including perimeter fences and access control systems. Indeed, ‘strength’ as a more abstract concept is vital to all aspects of security, from software through to system integrity and organisation resilience. So don’t you dare come and suggest to me that I don’t know what I’m doing with this weekly feature. I have it under total control, do you understand me? Well, do you? Good.”
Of course there are some wonderful rabble-rousing haircuts in full view here – but for once The Alarm is upstaged by the two chaps presenting the public access programme on which this video was aired. They’re at the very start. My goodness.
