Measuring 18.9 x 18.6 x 6 cm, the Odyssey 5 Compact is suitable for use indoors and out, and is said to “complement contemporary architectural styles”.
Despite its size, the Odyssey 5 Compact is able to deliver 115dB from its twin Piezo sounders. EN 50131-compliant and containing a microprocessor, it also features a visual alert to warn off intruders. Designers say they used lens contrast to optimise the visual impact of the 270 degree strobe, which triggers when an intruder is detected.
An alternative version, the Odyssey 5E Compact, is also available. Using a single Piezo sounder, it can produce 109dB and has an IP44-sealed electronics module. It is said to feature the same compact casing and aesthetics as its fully-featured counterpart but is aimed primarily at the residential market.
