Lone worker security to feature at IFSEC 2012
This new feature is being sponsored by Connexion2 , a leader in lone working security and developer of the Identicom lone worker device.
“Millions of people in the UK are now working alone,” explained Craig Swallow, managing director of Connexion2. “Lone workers exist in almost every business area including transport, utilities, housing, facilities management, retail and healthcare.”
He added: “Connexion2 is delighted to be the inaugural sponsor of this important product area, which serves to raise the profile of the lone worker within IFSEC International, showcases the importance of BS 8484 within the UK and the continuing interest in the lone worker industry on a global basis.”
Developed in conjunction with the BSIA
The special feature area is being developed in conjunction with the BSIA Lone Worker Steering Group and its chairman, Patrick Dealtry.
Products on display will include risk control measures and device-based solutions for protecting lone workers and minimising the risks they face on a daily basis.
“Connexion2 has been a long-term supporter of IFSEC International and I am very pleased to secure the company as the headline sponsor of IFSEC’s newest product area,” enthused Peter Poole, IFSEC’s event manager.
“The Lone Worker Protection Product Area will significantly raise the profile of this growing market sector by offering companies a clear identity at IFSEC.”
In addition to its sponsorship of the area, Connexion2 will also be exhibiting its range of BS 8484-approved Identicom lone worker solutions on Stand 3/F32.
Connexion2 supplies solutions direct to market through SoloProtect and indirectly through a network of authorised partners in the UK and beyond.
